Alex and Jodie's Wedding at the Hyatt Regency, Sarasota Florida

Jodie and Alex grew up on opposite ends of the world but their paths crossed in Cleveland, OH, in December 2019. The two of them spoke for several weeks before actually making plans to meet in person due to work and holiday travel commitments. After cancelling plans to meet on three prior occasions - Jodie finally made it to their first date, on New Year's Day 2020- in Jodie-style, 30 minutes late! 

Their first date was filled with good conversation, chemistry, a little silliness and a whole lot of sarcasm... Next dates followed with fun memories, from canoeing with friends to spending Saturdays by the pool and cooking English and American meals. A fond memory for the pair, includes a date where one woman approached the two of them in a restaurant debating how many years they had been together (this was date #4) - Jodie is still convinced Alex planned it! 

The pair went on through the pandemic, meeting each other's family and friends, some in person but many virtually. They moved in together in January 2021 and then that October, Alex proposed at their apartment in Westlake with roses in hand, an Ed Sheeran soundtrack and their three crazy- but- cute - dogs. 

2022 is a big year for Jodie and Alex- they recently moved to Florida and bought their first home together, and now they are both so excited to start the next chapter of their lives together as husband and wife!
